FOX19 - The big story at the Little League Softball World Series this past week was the game between Central Iowa and Washington.
If Washington won its final game in pool play, Central Iowa would advance to the semifinals, as well as Washington.
But Washington didn't want to play Iowa, so Washington's coach rested four of his starters and allegedly told his players to bunt for the entire game.
The outcome? Washington lost but still advanced while Iowa was out of the playoffs.
Iowa's coach sniffed out what was going on and complained to the tournament directors.
Officials said nothing was wrong so the coach went to Little League International which decided the only fair way to settle it was to have Washington and Iowa play each other for the right to advance.
In a true moment of karma Central Iowa won 3-2.
Washington coach Fred Miller said he was only resting his starters and his players were being unfairly harassed.
