Westbound Interstate 74 is back open near Batesville after a crash with serious injuries closed it Tuesday morning, according to Indiana State Police.
AirCare responded when at least two vehicles collided about 7 a.m., said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, police spokesman.
Further details were not immediately available.
This is the second accident early Tuesday that shut the highway down in that area. Overnight, a car fire blocked all lanes.
