WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A second suspect faces charges in the brutal July homicide of a 20-year-old man during a home invasion.

Alfonzo Terrell McHatten, 46, is scheduled to face a judge at 9 a.m. Wednesday on charges of murder and attempted murder.

He was booked into the Hamilton County jail just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Court records allege McHatten shot Arthur Morris several times in the chest on July 8 at a residence in the 2900 block of Feltz Avenue. He also caused severe injury to Morris by cutting him with a knife.

As Morris lay on the floor suffering, McHatten ransacked the residence, stole property and fled the scene.

Last month, police arrested Jvontae Gurley on the same charges for Morris' slaying.

Authorities have not said what the men are accused of taking during the home invasion.
