COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - A police chase that began on southbound Interstate 75 resulted in a crash outside the IRS building in Covington Wednesday.
Cincinnati Police say they began chasing the vehicle on Aug. 22 after it was reported stolen. Each time they attempted to pursue the car, either the car got away or police had to end the chase.
A motorcycle cop spotted and began to follow the stolen vehicle driving south on I-75 Wednesday, according to Lt. Bruce Hoffbauer. Cincinnati Police deployed stop sticks when the black female suspect got off the highway and onto Ezzard Charles Drive, by Union Terminal. The sticks blew out the female driver's tire, but the suspect continued to drive back onto the Interstate leading police on the chase into Kentucky.
The chase came to an end after the driver went through the MainStrasse Village and crashed into the fence outside the IRS building on Third Street, according to witnesses on scene.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect was taken to Kenton County Jail and faces multiple felony charges in northern Kentucky and in Cincinnati.
