NORTH AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) - A 54-year-old man with a history of stalking a North Avondale Montessori School teacher has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.
Theodore Hoying is facing charges after sending the teacher a suspicious package that evacuated the school building in August of 2015.
He was held at the Auglaize County jail on one count each of menacing by stalking, inducing panic and violating a protection order.
Police said he was locked up last week on a probation violation after the package turned up at the school Aug. 25.
The package, a padded envelope, was addressed to the teacher with Hoying's return address.
Hoying, from Minister, Ohio, was convicted of menacing by stalking in January 2014 and is under court order not have any contact with the woman, court records show.
He admitted to sending the package to her, police say.
North Avondale Montessori is located on Clinton Springs Avenue and educates preschoolers through sixth grade.
