A 25-year-old man faced a judge Tuesday on charges he purposely set fire to a Kerper Avenue apartment building.
Lamar Thomas was arrested Monday after Cincinnati police and fire investigators after obtaining eyewitness accounts from the victims and gathering evidence at the scene Aug.12.
Thomas' bond was set at $100,000.
No one was home when heavy flames broke out on the first floor, city records show.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes.
No one was hurt, but an adult was displaced.
Damage was set at $10,000.
A motive was not disclosed.
Thomas has prior arrests for drug trafficking and assault, court records show.
In addition to the arson charge, he's also held at the Hamilton County jail on a slew of unrelated charges, mostly for traffic offenses.
