Uber gets green light for CVG airport pick-ups

(Uber) (Uber)

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is opening the door for full Uber service to operate alongside taxis at the airport.

CVG officials announced the new ride sharing policy on Thursday and said Uber could begin pick-ups that morning.

There have been no regulations banning the ride-sharing service from dropping off customers, but Uber was prohibited from passenger pick-ups.

CVG is the first airport in Ohio and Kentucky to have an official operating agreement with Uber.

“Our customers desire options,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. “Uber joins other ground transportation options including rental cars, taxi cabs, On-Demand Van/Shuttle and TANK.”
