Four people were injured Friday when an under-construction barn collapsed in the 5500 block of Mount Zion Road, according to emergency dispatch.
Air Care transported one person to University of Cincinnati Medical Center after units responded around 3 p.m. Three others were taken in ground ambulances to Bethesda North Hospital. Officials report those victims are in fair condition.
According to an official at the scene, the accident happened as workers were trying to tighten the roof trusses that had moved out of alignment.
"In doing the tightening process, we’re not sure what occurred exactly but obviously there was some catastrophic failure of that system,” the official said.
