CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The demolition of a railroad bridge will completely shut down Interstate 75 overnight through early Sunday.
Southbound lanes will close between the Norwood Lateral and the Mitchell Avenue exit 11 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
The ramp from westbound Norwood Lateral to southbound I-75 also will be shut down, but the ramp from southbound 75 to eastbound Norwood Lateral will remain open.
Traffic will detour to westbound I-275 to eastbound I-74 back to southbound I-75.
This weekend, the northbound lanes will close between the Mitchell Avenue exit and the Norwood Lateral beginning two hours upon completion of the Cincinnati Reds game Friday night and again at 11 p.m. Saturday.
The highway will reopen by 7 a.m. the following morning.
The ramp from Mitchell Avenue to northbound I-75 will shut down, but the ramp from northbound I-75 to Mitchell Avenue will remain open.
Traffic will detour to westbound I-74 to eastbound I-275 back to northbound I-75.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming and lane closures.
Drivers are urged to remain alert, reduce speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through work zones.
