CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The murder trial of the former University of Cincinnati police officer who fatally shot a driver during a traffic stop has been delayed.

Ray Tensing's trial on murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the July 19 shooting of Samuel DuBose had been scheduled for Nov. 16 in front of Judge Megan Shanahan. A Hamilton County prosecutor's spokeswoman says a pre-trial hearing is now set for that day.

No new trial date has been set.

Stew Mathews, Tensing's attorney, requested the trial be moved because he believes that Tensing cannot obtain a fair and impartial trail in Hamilton County.

UC fired Tensing shortly after his indictment. He has pleaded not guilty
