A 31-year-old Northside man with a history of exposing himself around the University of Cincinnati is accused of groping a woman on campus and then following her and her friend as they headed home.

Brian L. Johnson is held without bond at the Hamilton County jail on a sexual imposition charge. He faces a judge Wednesday.

According to court records, Johnson came out of Center Court Cafe on campus and approached two men Monday.

One of the women told UC police he appeared to be staring at her buttocks. She thought she left her phone in the diner, so she stopped to check her bag.

That's when he approached them, police wrote in court records. He allegedly grabbed her buttocks and caressed her hips and buttocks.

When she turned, he pulled away, and the victim and her friend tried to take a different route home. They noticed Johnson and one of his friends following them until they saw UC police.

Johnson has a pattern of exposing himself to women and groping them, court records show.

He pleaded no contest to a May charge of public indecency. Cincinnati police charged him with unzipping his pants, exposing himself and masturbating while following a woman as she walked on Clifton Avenue.

He also was convicted in October 2014 on a sexual imposition charge. UC police said he exposed himself to a woman on West Corry Street and grabbed her buttocks.
