Person of interest named in missing Ross County women

ROSS COUNTY, OHIO (FOX19 NOW) -

A person of interest has been named in the Ross County cases of missing or dead women.

A nationwide warrant has been issued for Ernest Moore, 36, declaring him as a parole violator at large, according to Ross County Sheriff George Lavender Jr.

Moore, also known as “Dollar Bill,” is a person of interest in the drug trade and at-risk women involved in human trafficking in Chillicothe and Ross County.

Six women are either missing or were found dead in Ross County. Most of them had some sort of connection to heroin or prostitution, according to police.

The Missing Women Task Force has set up a hotline. Call 740-774-FIND (3463) if you have any information that can help.

Anyone with information regarding Moore’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ross County Sheriff’s Office at 740-774-1185.
