Meth lab found in Wayne Twp. home

A Wayne Township man was arrested Friday for his involvement in manufacturing methamphetamine at his residence.

Albert Ray Miller, 64, was charged with one count of illegal assembly of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a felony of the third degree, according to the authorities.

Reports showed that patrol units from the Clermont County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Maple Oak Drive Friday in reference to information that the occupants were manufacturing methamphetamine.

Police said upon arrival, the patrol units suspected that illegal manufacturing was occurring and requested the Clermont County Narcotics Unit to respond.

According to officials, a search warrant for the residence was obtained and the narcotics unit discovered chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines. In addition, narcotics agents located 300 grams of materials which contained meth.

The estimated street value was reportedly $30,000.

Officials said Miller is incarcerated at the Clermont County Jail and will appear in court on Monday.
