A gas station clerk fought back when three men tried to rob him in the parking lot as he walked to his car after closing the business early Monday, Cincinnati police said.
The clerk pulled out his gun and fired a shot at the men outside the Marathon gas station off West Galbraith and Daly roads about 2 a.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.
No one was hit, but as the trio fled one of them returned fire by squeezing off two shots.
The clerk was not hurt.
No arrests were made.
