Allegiant expands again at CVG

Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air is launching a major expansion of its winter and spring flight schedule from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The airline will operate 40 weekly flights to more non-stop destinations than any other low-cost carrier at the airport, formerly one of the most expensive in the nation.

The new schedule represents a 54 percent increase in flights over the same period this year.

Some of the notable service expansions include: the return and upgrade of nonstop flights to Austin, Texas, and New Orleans, Louisiana year-round; an early return of seasonal flights to Savannah/Hilton Head beginning Feb. 18 and non-stop flights to Las Vegas increasing from two to five weekly flights.

The flights will be operated with a mix of aircraft.

When it opens in January, Allegiant’s CVG base will employ up to 90 pilots, flight attendants and airport service personnel.
