CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Bengal Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones will have to pay the NFL $35,000 for an altercation with Oakland Raiders player Amari Cooper Sunday.

In an interview inside the Bengals locker room Wednesday, Jones said he planned to appeal the fine.

“Everything will work itself out. I’m gonna appeal it,” Jones said. “It’s way too much. $35,000 is too much for a guy out playing football.”

Jones took down Cooper, ripped off his helmet and pushed the wide receiver's head against the helmet. Jones was penalized but not ejected.

“Hopefully it won’t happen again, but I cant promise you guys that in the heat of the moment it wont happen again. I do my best to keep my composure and do what I have to do to not hurt my team,” said the cornerback.

He called it a mistake but said the entire situation was “magnified” because he was involved.

Jones also addressed the fine in a video posted to Instagram
