ELMWOOD PLACE, OH (FOX19) -

A man faces multiple charges after admitting that he picked up and body slammed a toddler under his care.

Shane Walsh, 21, of Butlerville, Ohio, faces one count each of felonious assault, endangering children and aggravated assault in a Sept. 3 incident in Elmwood Place, according to court documents.

Police say Walsh jerked the 16-month-old out of her "pack-n-play" by the arms and forcefully slammed her to the ground as he landed on his knees causing a fracture to the skull and hematoma.

Bruising and burns were located on the child's body and the child also registered a blood alcohol content of .05, according to court records.

Walsh admitted to causing the serious physical arm after being interviewed by officials, police said.

The girl remains in the hospital since the offense. No word on her condition.

Walsh's three charges carry bond amounts totaling $95,000.
