U.S. Marshals arrest Oregon sex offender for not registering in Butler Co.

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) has arrested a sex offender from Oregon that failed to register as one after traveling to Butler County, according to officials. 

John E. Edwards, 26, was arrested on Thursday in the City of Monroe. He is required to register as a sexual offender after a felony sexual abuse conviction in Deschutes County, Oregon, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Edwards is currently in USMS custody awaiting disposition of his federal charges.
