HARRISON TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) – -

A 25-year-old motorist is accused of driving while impaired and crashing a vehicle, causing serious injuries to his passenger.

Henry W. Specht of Harrison is held at the Hamilton County jail on an aggravated vehicular assault charge. He is scheduled to face a judge at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to court records, he drove while impaired and wrecked a tan 2003 Chevrolet Silverado in the 11000 block of New Biddinger Road about 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 30.

His front seat passenger, Ashley Huckaby, suffered serious injuries, a cracked vertebrae, records state.

Records also show he allegedly told authorities "that has epilepsy and actively takes illness for this illness."

But an investigation found he "falsified statements to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles" on Aug. 13 "in order to obtain an Ohio Driver's License, specifically denying having any medical impairment that may affect his driving ability, in violation of ...Drivers License Prohibitions."

As a result, he was cited on a charge of knowingly giving false information to obtain a license plate, records show.
