CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

After police arrested an alleged pair of jewel thieves last week, they could only find 26 of the 27 diamond rings stolen from the Sycamore Township jewelry store.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office posted an update to Facebook Wednesday announcing the missing ring had been located.

“We're pleased to report after the female was put through our scanner at the Justice Center the final ring was located in a body cavity,” read the post, which included an x-ray image of the ring.

Leroy Bridgman, 57, and Marcie Young, 61, broke into the Diamonds Rock store and were caught after they got trapped in the elevator on scene, police said. Deputies and the fire department had to free them from the trapped elevator.

The suspects had stashed the estimated $86,000 worth of jewels in the elevator ceiling, according to officials.

“Our SecurPass scanner has been a valuable tool to find contraband and other items,” read the last line of the sheriff’s office post.
