Cincinnati cop charged with slapping, punching son

A Cincinnati police officer has been ordered to stay away from his son after his arrest over the weekend.

Officer David Dozier “slapped his son in the face which knocked his tooth loose and left a red hand print on the victim’s face,” a sworn affidavit states.

It happened after a verbal argument about how short to cut the boy’s hair. Dozier also allegedly punched his son in the stomach.

Dozier is charged with domestic violence and will appear in court on Oct. 19.

A judge set his bond at $25,000.

Dozier has a temporary protection order filed against him and has been placed on administrative duties with no police powers which are suspended pending an investigation. He has been on the force for 11 years.
