Work crews will shut down southbound Interstate 75 at the Norwood Lateral nightly Wednesday through Friday, state transportation officials said.
A single lane closure is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and be followed by a full closure between 11 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. the following day, an ODOT spokeswoman said.
The ramp from the Norwood Lateral to southbound I-75 also will be closed nightly 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next day.
Crews are working in the area removing structural steel, said ODOT spokeswoman Sharon Smigielski.
Motorists who want to route around the area are advised to take westbound I-275 to eastbound I-74 back to southbound I-75, according to ODOT.
Over on I-71, lane restrictions between William Howard Taft Road and Victory Parkway will be in place overnight this week as crews continue creating a new, full interchange at Martin Luther King Drive.
Beginning at 7 p.m., one lane of southbound I-71 will close, followed by a double lane closure at 9 p.m.
All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. the following day.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closures.
