A 36-year-old motorcyclist fleeing police crashed into the front porch of a business early Monday, Golf Manor police said.
He is accused of taking off when police initiated a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Losantiville Avenue after he swerved and ran a red light about 3:40 a.m., police said.
Speeds reached about 40 mph in the brief pursuit that only spanned about a half mile. It ended with the motorcycle crashing into a business at Ridge and Woodford roads, according to police.
The motorcyclist suffered a minor head injury and road rash.
He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is expected to recover.
Police said a charge is pending against the man of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
