Damage estimated at $10 million in machining company fire
Damage is estimated at ten million dollars from a factory fire in the Cincinnati suburb of Forest Park yesterday.
The fire that started in a piece of equipment at Faxon Machining and quickly spread through the 100-thousand-square-foot complex burned for five hours, sending plumes of black smoke into the air that could be seen for miles. There were no injuries.
Forest Park's economic development director, Paul Brehm, pledged to help the company rebuild. He said the city could provide the company office space and might be able to use tax abatements to help it get back on its feet.
