CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Police Department and SPCA Cincinnati are investigating a cat that was found dead attached to a cross in the West End early Monday.

The cat was found dead, skinned, and tied to a makeshift cross that was made of tree limbs just after 1 a.m. in Dyer Park on Bank Street, according to the SPCA.

Officials said an exam found that the cat had a broken skull.

The SPCA officials believe the cat was someone's pet because it was neutered.

There is a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest. You can call them at 513-352-3040.
