A chase suspect eluded authorities from three law enforcement agencies early Tuesday, according to Green Township police.

A relative of the owner of a 2005 Toyota Camry reported stolen spotted the vehicle on Interstate 75 just after 1 a.m., said Sgt. Chris House.

The relative followed the vehicle and alerted authorities. Springfield Township police responded and gave chase, but the driver led them on a pursuit, House said.

Police lost sight of the Camry as it headed south on Hamilton Avenue and cut off the chase.

A short time later, Green Township police spotted the vehicle in the area of North Bend Road and Colerain Avenue.

The motorist took off as soon as he spotted the cruiser - before the officer even had a chance to flip on his flashing lights and siren, House said.

Another pursuit ensued, according to police, with the speeding motorist traveling up to 70 mph in 35 mph zones.

The chase went into the city of Cincinnati, where it ended with the driver bailing from the vehicle and running off in the area of Brokaw and McHenry avenues in East Westwood.

The driver remains at large.
