Police investigate report of store robbery, car theft

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police confirmed officers are on scene of a reported robbery and car theft at Dollar General on Pippin Road.

Police told dispatchers a female suspect held up the store and then stole a green Ford Escape from a victim who was inside the business.

A weapon was not seen, only implied, a dispatcher said.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was described as in her mid-20s and wearing a burgundy jacket.

About an hour later, Cincinnati police took her into custody off Lantana Avenue in College Hill, said Sgt. Donna Hurst, Cincinnati police spokeswoman.

Colerain Township police said they would put out more information on the case later Wednesday.
