SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) -

The father of a small child was arrested and charged with child endangerment after his son was found wandering a hotel hallway early Thursday, police said.

Patrick Arabie, 28, was taken into custody shortly after authorities responded to Crossland Economy Studios on Chesterdale Road about 3 a.m., police said in a prepared statement.

He is held without bond at the Hamilton County jail and is scheduled to face a judge Friday.

A hotel employee told authorities she was performing her duties when she encountered the small boy unsupervised in the hallway, the statement reads.

Police said they made every effort to make contact with tenants of the hotel, but they were unable to locate the child's parents.

They contacted 241-KIDS and took the boy to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services on Central Parkway.

Police said the child's mother, Destinee McNabb, 20, contacted them about 5 a.m. and told them she was at her place of employment.
