Woman rescued from Dayton house fire


Residents of three Dayton homes are displaced following a house fire Friday morning.

A neighbor and police officer rescued one woman when flames broke out around 3 a.m., according to a fire officials at the scene. The home, located on Ninth Avenue near Vine Street, was fully engulfed and is a total loss.

Two neighboring homes were damaged by flames and smoke. Those residents will be displaced for at least one night, a firefighter said.

The woman was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for burns. Her husband was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
