CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A man is accused of taking $8,000 in chips from Horseshoe Casino Monday, according to the Ohio casino control commission.
Nyamekye Taylor, 38, is accused of removing 16 purple $500 casino chips, from a roulette table. Court documents state he took the chips "with the intent to defraud or without having made a wager contingent on winning a casino game."
According to the affidavit, Taylor was observed on surveillance video removing the chips and fleeing the casino with them. Taylor allegedly had several other individuals attempt to cash in the stolen chips, those subject gave statements to the police.
Court documents show that he admitted to police that he removed the chips and attempted to have others cash in the chips.
Taylor will next be in court on Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m.
