CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The University of Cincinnati unveiled its newly designed Under Armour uniforms to the men's basketball team Friday in a video posted to the team's Youtube channel.

The uniforms feature a red and black proprietary stripe around the waistband and lower part of the shorts and back of the jersey collar. Elements unique to UC and its campus were incorporated into the design of the new uniforms.

The Bearcats said the angles represented were inspired by the angles on numerous campus buildings and structures. The white triangles are representative of the windows of the Richard E. Lindner Center located next to Fifth Third Arena and home to the UC Department of Athletics.

Under Armour became the official outfitter for UC’s intercollegiate athletics program on July 1, 2015.

According to the multi-year agreement, Under Armour is exclusively designing and supplying the footwear, apparel and equipment for training and gameday uniforms for each of UC's 19 men's and women's varsity athletic teams starting with the 2015-16 academic year.
