Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle is advising Northern Kentucky residents of a recent phone scam.
According to Coyle, the caller states they are from the IRS and the individual owes taxes. The caller then tells the individual if the money is not paid they will be arrested.
Coyle says the number that has been provided to the Sheriff's Office was (253) 205-8308
Coyle warns that if you receive a call from this number or other numbers requesting money that it a scam and to not provide any information.
