HARTWELL, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati fire officials said they responded early Monday to the second fire in 72 hours at the same Parkway Avenue home.

When firefighters arrived at the residence just before 12:30 a.m., they found a medium amount of smoke coming from the structure, said District 3 Fire Chief Marc Monahan.

Two residents who were inside already had safely made it out, he said.

Crews extinguished the fire in about 5 minutes and contained damage to about $2,000.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation, Monahan said. The previous one caused about $1,000 in damage.

Further details were not released.
