CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A man has been taken to the hospital after a shooting near Taft High School Wednesday afternoon.

Crews responded to John St. near the high school around 3:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired in the area.

Police found a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Cincinnati Public Information Officer, Tiffaney Hardy. The victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Hardy said.

Officials on scene say a bullet pierced a window near the entrance of Taft High School but school was not in session at the time of the incident. Hardy said no Taft High School students were injured.
