Cincinnati teen killed in West Virginia crash

FOX19/AP -

Two people are dead, including a teen from Cincinnati, following a crash on Interstate 64 in Barboursville, West Virginia.

Multiple media outlets report that a westbound vehicle hydroplaned and crossed median cable barriers around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle hit an eastbound vehicle.

Both drivers were killed. Barboursville police on Wednesday identified the victims as 18-year-old Emily Schoening of Cincinnati and 48-year-old Jerrold Williams of Cottageville.

A female passenger in the eastbound vehicle was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

The wreck was one of three within 24 hours that shut down I-64 in Cabell County.

Both westbound lanes between the mall and Milton were closed for three hours Wednesday morning following a wreck.

A jackknifed tractor-trailer also closed both westbound lanes Tuesday in Huntington.
