MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) -

The city of Montgomery announced Saturday that many local businesses were having issues with counterfeit bills being used. Three businesses have reportedly received fraudulent $100 bills.

Reports stated that the bills were not immediately identified as counterfeit, but a local bank found that the bills were not real at a later time.

According to a representative, an African-American male in his later 20s with a stocky build and groomed facial hair has been seen on surveillance videos passing the $100 counterfeit bills. In one instance, the offense allegedly occurred close to closing time.

Any business that encounters a suspect meeting this description and presenting a suspicious $100 bill should contact the Montgomery Police Department at  513-825-2280.
