The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic crash that left one man in critical condition Monday.
Police said a pedestrian was struck on Cincinnati-Dayton Road in Middletown around 6:30 p.m.
According to officials, Ryan Druffel, 31, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord southbound when he struck Daniel Brown, 50, who was crossing Cincinnati-Dayton Road from the east.
Brown was initially transported to Arium Hospital, but was later transported to Miami Valley Hospital where he remains in critical condition, according to police.
Druffel was reportedly not injured as a result of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
