TAYLOR MILL, KY (FOX19) -

An accident involving a tanker shut down eastbound Interstate 275 in northern Kentucky at 3 Mile Road.

The tanker rear-ended two cars before overturning around 8:30 a.m.

The truck's tank was empty, but fuel from the cabin spilled onto the roadway, according to officials on scene.

Once crews get the tanker upright, hazmat will respond to clean up the fuel.

The driver of a car rear-ended by the tanker was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. No one else was hurt.

The interstate reopened around 10:30 a.m.
