With Christmas just seven weeks away, Toys For Tots and the U.S. Marines are hoping Tri-State residents are ready to get into the giving spirit. The annual Toys For Tots holiday fundraising campaign kicks off at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Toys “R” Us Kenwood store location on Montgomery Road. Through December 6, customers can spread holiday joy to some of the 15.5 million U.S. children living in poverty by donating new, unwrapped toys at any Toys "R" Us or Babies "R" US.
Monetary donations can also be made in store now through Christmas Eve.
Last year, Toys For Tots raised $6.4 million and collected more than 220 thousand toys.
