Police: 3 shot in Westwood not cooperating with investigation

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Three males shot at an apartment building late Sunday are not cooperating with a police investigation, authorities announced Monday morning.

Emergency crews responding to reports of three people shot in the 2400 block of Harrison Avenue at 8:30 p.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

When they arrived, they found two males struck outside on a back deck and one shot inside with a total of eight to 10 people present, he said.

The victim shot inside was playing video games at the time.

So far, police said they have determined an unknown number of suspects began firing at the back of the building. Bullets went through the patio door.

The suspect fled and remain at large. Their descriptions were not available.

The victims were all taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries: a 23-year-old shot in the ankle; a 22-year-old grazed by a bullet in the head and a 15-year-old shot in the elbow, Brown said.

A fourth person was injured by flying glass.
