Police: 2nd escaped inmate back in custody

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

Two inmates who escaped from a secured facility associated with the Warren County Community Correction Facility on Sunday are back in custody.

Chad Munden, 30, and Roger Pettit, 30, scaled a fence to flee an involuntary halfway house for convicted felons at 5234 State Route 63 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., according to Franklin police.

Munden was captured a short distance away from Miami Valley Gaming and booked into the Warren County jail just after 3 p.m. Sunday, jail officials said Monday. He faces a new charge of escape.

Pettit turned himself into Franklin police at 1:30 a.m . Monday and was booked into the Warren County jail by 2:14 a.m., according to the jail.

He is charged with attempted escape, jail officials said.
