HARTWELL, OH (FOX19) -

Two suspects are in custody after an armed robbery at Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken on Vine Street near Galbraith Road Monday night.

Three masked suspects robbed the eatery with a handgun and tried to flee, Cincinnati police said.

Two men were detained, said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

Court records identify one of the suspects as Clarence Mallory, 22, of the West End.

He was booked into the Hamilton County jail on a robbery charge at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday and is scheduled to appear before a judge at 9 a.m.

According to court records, “…Mallory displayed a handgun during a robbery at Lee’s Famous Recipe, 8319 Vine St.”

Nearby, in the 7100 block of Vine Street, a 23-year-old man was found on the ground and suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg at 9:15 p.m., Brown said.

The shooting is not connected to the robbery, Brown said early Tuesday.

In the shooting, the victim told police he was walking down the sidewalk when three unknown men walked around the corner.

"He said he heard three shots and realized he was shot in the right leg," Brown said, recounting the victim's statement.

The shooting suspects fled and remain at large.

Their descriptions were not available.
