STONELICK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A school bus carrying several elementary school students to class ran off Mt. Zion Road at Stonelick Williams Corner Road and crashed into a tree early Monday, a school official said.

No students were hurt, but the female driver, Jacqueline Bolz-Grant, suffered a minor head injury, said Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Pabin.

Stonelick Township firefighters said 18 students ages 7-8 were on the bus at the time of the 8:22 a.m. accident. Bolz-Grant was traveling at a slow speed and swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle, according to Pabin. She will not be cited.

The youngsters were headed to Clermont Northeastern Elementary School, Johnson said.

A witness called 911 to report the crash. Listen to that call below or at this link.

The Ohio State Highway is investigating.
