DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Thirty-nine vehicles were vandalized in a single neighborhood over the weekend in this western Hamilton County suburb, police said.

The cars were found with side mirrors "broken off by unknown means" in the early morning hours Sunday in the Delshire subdivision off Glenhaven Road, Cloverhill Terrace, Copperfield and Penfield lanes, police said in a prepared statement on their Facebook page.

"We believe the damage was caused by the shaft of a golf club," police wrote. "One victim recalls hearing a couple of loud thumps around 3:30AM, then observed a smaller black vehicle with square brake lights, with smaller reverse lights under the tail lights and a loud exhaust driving down the street.

"If you live in the subdivision and have outside cameras, please review them and if there is anything of interest on it, please contact the Delhi Township Police at 513-922-0060."
