BOND HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Community members and faith leaders are launching a Peoples Platform Thursday night calling for a universal preschool.

It will be launched in a 6:30 p.m. public meeting 700-100 people are expected to attend at Tryed Stone New Beginning Church located at 5550 Reading Rd.

The People's Platform is inspired by Preschool Promise which is an initiative intended to ensure two years high quality preschool for every child in Cincinnati regardless of income.

The Peoples Platform is led by the Amos project which includes faith and community leaders who spent months developing the platform,community and elected leaders including state representative Denise Driehause,

Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune will attend the event as well as faith leaders including Chris Beard of Peoples Church, Rabbi Miriam Terlinchamp of Temple Sholom, Chuck Mingo of Crossroads, and Damon Lynch III of New Prospect Baptist church.
