CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The second streetcar's arrival will cause several road closures in the area.

According to officials, Race Street will be closed starting at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday between Findlay Street and McMicken until approximately 4:40 p.m. for the delivery of the second streetcar vehicle at the Maintenance and Operations Facility in Over-the-Rhine.

Henry Street will also be closed between Elm and Race.

The flatbed tractor-trailer carrying the streetcar will reportedly travel north on Race via Liberty Street. It is expected to arrive at Race and Liberty at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The city said it will update the arrival time via Twitter as more precise information is received.

Law enforcement officials said they will proceed in front and behind the flatbed as a safety measure to alert motorists and pedestrians. There will also be brief closures along Liberty and Race streets as the streetcar travels through intersections.

On-street parking will be restricted along Race for the delivery.

It will take approximately 90 minutes for the streetcar to unload onto the tracks adjacent to the MOF at 1927 Race Street.

"The streetcar rail system is intended to stimulate development, expand transportation options and enhance livability by connecting key communities in and around the center city," said City Manager Harry Black.

Streets will be reopened after the streetcar is unloaded and delivered into the MOF.
