A Miami University student is in critical condition after his car was hit by a train early Thursday morning.
David D. Brown, 20, was attempting to cross the railroad tracks when he was struck by a CSX freight train. The train then pushed his car 454 feet before it came to a rest after hitting a nearby parked car. Brown was air-cared to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Oxford police are still investigating the accident. They have determined the vehicle was traveling westbound on Chestnut Avenue when it was struck by a northbound train.
