SPRINGFIELD, OH (FOX19) -

A Springfield pizzeria will be closed for Thanksgiving, but they are gaining worldwide attention for the message they left on their doors.

Bada Bing! Pizzeria posted a photo to Facebook of their sign on their door saying that they will be closed for Thanksgiving Day. However, they said they're opening their doors to those who don't have money or are hungry.

"We will be having dinner here around 2 p.m. with our family, employees, and friends," the sign read. "If you are hungry or don't have any money, please come in. We will welcome you and make sure you get plenty to eat."

"The response from the community is overwhelming," shop owner Jason Hague told FOX45 in Dayton.

The photo has over 7,900 likes and over 8,700 shares on Facebook since being posted on Tuesday.

"If we're able to feed even one hungry person, I'm fine with that," Hague told FOX45 in Dayton. "But if it turns out to be something more monumental, we'll think about doing something next year for sure."
