CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

It’s been 36 years since The Who concert tragedy, but many remain affected by it still today.

Several of them will be alongside Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley Thursday night as a memorial is dedicated.

Eleven people died and 26 others were injured before the 1979 concert.

The tragedy happened when the crowd outside heard a late sound check and there was a stampede to get inside.

The dedication is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. Thursday between U.S. Bank Arena and Great American Ballpark.
