MOUNT AUBURN, OH (FOX19) -

Two men fled the scene after a vehicle they were riding in slammed into a church early Friday, Cincinnati police said.

Passerbys spotted the crash into True Holiness Church of God Mt. Auburn and called 911 just after 3:30 a.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

The witnesses reported seeing two men running from the car, a black, four-door Chrysler, he said.

The church has no structural damage, he said.

Fire crews shut down Auburn Avenue south of Bodmann Avenue as a precaution due to gas main on the side of the church.

The road reopened shortly after.
